Best Laid Plans #ThursdayDoors

I know, I know.. late again. It only takes one event in my day to throw things off but we had a few yesterday. I had one post in my mind and got up fresh and ready to roll.

Then a hummingbird showed up at the glass door. Just hovering there, as if to say, “Look, hey look! Come outside!”  When I looked out the door I saw it. 🥰

Yaaaay!!! And, I might add, there are at least four doors in this image. 😉

While rainbows are not uncommon this time of year, it is still always miraculous to see one hanging across the valley. So, I did what I always do when it is a rainbow morning. Shoes. Check. Phone. Check. Bug wipe. Check. Hurry, Cheryl, these things are so fleeting. Only this one wasn’t.

There was a perfect bajareque (misting rain) combined with the sunrise to keep this beautiful arc alive for over an hour. Yes, those are my doors.

I have a regular route to walk, depending on which side of us the rainbow occurs.
You may recall these doors to my little Playhouse Laundry. Yes, the bougainvillea are gorgeous! There are also doors to the casitas in the image.

The best place to get an unobstructed view is down the street and around the corner. Yes, there is at least one door visible here! That is the lovely Sabrin Cabinas hotel.

The flowers were so pleased to have a backup! There are doors on that house.

It was just glowing over everything. This is the main house on the property and there are many doors.

It was a first for me, to watch a rainbow descending as the sun rose higher.

The best part is I can see it all from my little kitchen table.

But anyone who knows me, knows I am not content to remain on a chair and watch. If I could run across that rainbow I would! I had to settle for a selfie with her.
Oh! Can you see the faint impression of the second rainbow above it? It tried to come out but just didn’t make it all the way.

It faded, then glowed, faded and finally stayed brilliant until it sank into the scenery, the colorful mists blending into the hills.

What a perfect way to start any day.
Oh! My original door. We went into town to a seminar at the library. There were some lovely doors there as well!

My grandkids would love this place!
