A Three Way #SoCS #Thursdaydoors #DawnoftheDream

Hi guys,

As usual I am woefully behind in posting but hopefully things will change now that I can proudly announce my book Dawn of the Dream/Book One of the Forever Never series is live on Amazon.  It has been over ten years in the creation, and I feel that anyone who enjoys Fantasy Fiction, Spiritual Mythology and just simply the encouragement of the human spirit will really like my labor of love.

Before you run out and check the Amazon link, I’d like to remind everyone of Linda Hill’s #SoCS prompt which runs tomorrow. Her word for tomorrow is run. Linda says to use it any way you like.

Also, I need to thank our good blogging friend Daniel Antion who has done so much to encourage, support and offer his technical advice during my process. I couldn’t have done this without your help and not lose most of my hair from pulling. Please visit the link to join in his #thursdaydoors prompt for this week and to meet some great writers and bloggers.

If you want to check out my new novel Dawn of the Dream/Book One of the Forever Never Series it is available in paperback on Amazon.com. Thank you in advance for taking a look.  I hope to have the Kindle version up soon. You can find all the info by visiting my author page Here .

Okay this one won out for my door this week. This boy is a chip off his father’s block.  My son once curled up under an old school vinyl typewriter cover to scare his brothers. 😂😂

Yeah, I’m kind of proud and very excited.

You can find Dan’s book collection, The Dreamers Alliance, links on his blog No Facilities  It is a wonderful series to read. Full of adventure, intrigue and humor.  Everyone stay safe and healthy out there. Look for the light in your lives and dream magnificently. 🤗❤️

Lies, Lies, Lies

So many reasons to feel this way in our current world condition. Pick a number, any number…

Nature knows, and yet it continues to be beautiful

never forgetting its purpose

enjoying the gift of a new day

finding solace in togetherness..

Don’t despair,
breathe the air
before it is poisoned
 beyond repair.
Plant your feet
on solid ground,
hear the sound
of Nature
crying…
dying,
she weeps,
Where is the light?
the will to fight
for its survival
caught within a tangle
of discarded ideals.
Does anyone feel
her slowing heartbeat?
Behind the din
of lusty sin
the voice of reason speaks,
but it is growing weak.
As darkness spreads
dis-ease and dread
we must remember
our tender mercies.
Shout and deny
complacency,
for in its company
there is no honor.
No hope was ever born
where freedom, scorned,
was abandoned.
The goal of power, futile,
the lesson always brutal
when truth falls like a hammer
On the glamour of its
promise.
‘Balance must be kept,’
and so the bow may bend,
only when the dark and light
remember how to blend
will this downward spiral end.
Endings, beginnings-
no.
Existence is perpetual
whether humans come or go.

Although the song below was written as a love ballad, I find it relevant here.
After all, our life on this planet is a love affair of epic proportion.
It’s also a very sweet film. Glen Hansard is so talented.

Queen of Hearts #SoCS

Once again, Linda Hill has given us a Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt that I can sink my teeth into.

I always seem to find the heart in so many things I see, especially Nature. This Earth shares its bounty and love with the humans who tread it and I’ve seen her messages many times.

Well, it was a commercial rendition of potato love…

But this was the real deal. I found it on my oldest son’s wedding day when I made potato salad for the reception.

This tree in Roswell, GA was sharing its love with everyone who took time to notice

Let’s have a kiss then…

This sunflower has a really big heart

“Please don’t break my heart.”

Butterfly hearts are always beating for love…

Forever in my heart..

A morning heart!

Dragonflies making hearts in love at the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, NE

I may not be the Queen of Hearts but I am definitely in the court. 😉❤️

While there are many songs that speak to issues of the heart, this one is a favorite…

So Many Happy Places… #SoCS

Life remains busy and sometimes bumpy but when I saw today’s #SoCS prompt from Linda Hill I knew I had to post. My life, like most people, has had its dark days. But I have been blessed with many, many happy moments and happy places.

Since there isn’t space or time here to show them all to you, I will hit a few and share my most recent happy place.

Most people who have visited any of my blogs will know how much I love winged things, especially hummingbirds. The hubs even calls me hummingbird sometimes because I like to stay busy. 😂

In our recent happy place here in Panama, I have feeders for my little friends, along with flowering plants. A few weeks back I had a little guy take over the terrace and its supply of nectar, running off any other hummers who dared take a drink. His only rivals were the tiny bees so he let them have their way. I named him Napoleon. Sadly, birds sometimes fly into our big picture window, injuring themselves. Most get up after a few minutes to fly away but recently a lovely blue tanager died. Then my little buddy mistook the afternoon reflection for a runway and hit the window hard. I went out and spent time with him, gave him some sugar water and he tried to hang on. When I saw he was failing I picked him up and held him as he took his last sweet breaths. 🥺😞

Napoleon

😞

He had quick short breaths for awhile

I planted a moss rose where I buried him..

For awhile I neglected the feeders,  but recently got new ones and the big one came with little suction cup window feeders. I was dubious because of the poor reviews but followed the directions for attaching them. They have been a hit and there is a new king of the terrace…

This is Li’l Nap J
(Little Napoleon Junior)
While he is more accommodating than his predecessor, he still exerts territorial preference. ❤️

He’s found a perch on the Night Cerrus

These moments make up my happy days..

And there is plenty of room on the ‘grand’ feeder for group sessions.

So here are a few more of my ‘happy places’…

Lunch with a friend

Shrimps make me very happy!

Finding an American thrift store!

Always happy beneath her glow

This park is our happy place for walks!

Happily saving my ‘babies’ during the recent storm

No words…sigh

Time with new friends

My orchid garden..

Trips to the Butterfly and Bee garden

Video calls with my bug…

A trip to the border with good friends

Saving butterflies…

She steals a daytime spotlight..

Lego projects!

Selfies with beautiful creatures like Junebug

Anytime I get to see some of my guys

Birthday celebrations

Naptime stories

Oh Ellie….

The ladies celebrate!

Anything chocolate, like these yummy scones!

My Happy Place!

An old happy place that lives on in my heart…

And speaking of happy places, my moonlighting job over at Dan’s place allows me to meet all the interesting guest bloggers he hosts. You should head over to his place to meet today’s guest, Willow and I’ll mix you up something special.
Happy Weekend to those of you still keeping track of days. 🤗
